Hidden Cove is a private association centrally located on the Island of Martha's Vineyard, with close proximity to the airport, high school and towns of Oak Bluffs, Vineyard Haven and Edgartown.  Comprising of approximately 65 acres of land adjacent to Sengekontacket Pond, Hidden Cove was originallly developed in the 1980's by builder Peter Van Rosbeck with the purpose to build a community of homes. In 1936, on his very first visit to Martha’s Vineyard, James Cagney fell in love with the beauty and tranquility of the island and acquired rolling acres of land with stone walls bordering the fields and a farmhouse dating back to the 1720s. For more than 35 years he spent several months a year as a hands-on manager of horses, cattle, pigs, chickens and turkeys, and swapped stories with his fishermen friends in the nearby harbor village of Menemsha.

It's September (already) and there's a universal opinion on the island that, despite having the same number of weeks as any other year, this summer went faster than most! Mid Year Market Update

Last week saw the sale of Huseby Mountain Farm , a beautfiul 26.5 acre piece of property in West Tisbury. Originally listed for $2,560,000, in July 2015, the property came off the market for a short spell over the winter. Returning to the market in Feburary of 2017 at an asking price of $2,475,000 and sold on July 14th for $2,300.000.

New to the market this week is this beautifully built and tastefully appointed 5 bedroom home on 3.2 acres on Tennis Lane, Chilmark.

Wednesday night brought the crowds to the MV Performing Arts Center for a one night only performance by talented singer songwriter Aimee Mann. Presented by MVY Radio, and part of the Martha's Vineyard Concert Series, the show was a highly entertaining combination of old songs and new songs, spanning her career which began in the 1980's, as well as couple of collaborations with special guest, Jonathan Coutlon.
