HAVE A QUESTION?

Have a Question?

The Red Stocking Fund is Martha's Vineyard's answer to Santa and his elves.  This entirely volunteer staffed non-profit was started during the Great Depression by two local women knitting stockings, and filling them with a few small toys as a way to give Island children in need of a Merry Christmas.

Tea Lane Associates brought the buyer of just over 3 acres of waterfront land which sold December 20th 2016 for $1,320,000. This gorgeous West Tisbury parcel of property sits on a pennisula of land that overlooks the desireable Tisbury Great Pond, popular for kayaking, swimming, boating, fishing and paddleboarding. The Atlantic ocean is a short boat ride away yet the property is just minutes away from West Tisbury town center but offering seclusion and privacy surrounded by only a handful of homes and nearby Pond View horse farm.

Thursday 5th January until tuesday 11th January 2017 - Island residents that are part of the Excursion or Preferred Program, can book up to 5 ferry reservations for summer travel. Some generous home owners, can offer up to three of these to be transferred, and some do so as part of their rental. But if not, dont worry, the the advance reservation program for visitors opens up on the 12th January if you are booking online or by mail and on the 19th January if you want to book in person or by phone.

It’s no wonder people love spending the holidays here on Martha’s Vineyard.

24 Old South Road in Aquinnah. Tea Lane Associates completed the sale of this 3 bed 2 and a half bathroom home on December 9th for $1,150,000. A beautifully expanded cottage, with just over 2000 square feet of living space on 2 private acres, with close proximity to Philbin beach.

When I tell people where I live, the mere mention of Martha’s Vineyard provokes wide eyed "ooooo's" and "aaahhh's" and comments like  “have you met .... so and so ..." insert famous person e.g. "James Taylor", "Larry David" , or "what's his name? ... the guy from Cheers!"

Extra slices of pie were consumed this past Thanksgiving week as Tea Lane Associates concluded the month with two closings in the six million's.

It's officially winter and Pathways is back at the Chilmark Tavern. We wrote about this cool Arts Collective here last year, and its back to get us through the next few months with more fun events.

A beautiful property on a private association on Martha’s Vineyard's north shore, sold last week for $5,745,000.  Tea Lane Associates represented the buyer of this 9.1 acre waterfront property at 38 Forest Road in Seven Gates Farm. Comprising of 1,300 square foot two bedroom summer home overlooking the Vineyard Sound, with a separate detached bedroom/bunk house on the edge of the private pond.

When some people think of Martha’s Vineyard and specifically Chilmark, they think of the south shore  -  famous Lucy Vincent beach and surfing the waves at Squinocket.  The North shore of the island is perhaps a lessor known destination to visitors, but this hidden gem of a coastline has trails and beautiful beaches with views of The Elizabeth Islands and, of course exquisite sunsets.  Spring Point Association is a 335 acre parcel of Chilmark between West Tisbury and Menemsha that one accesses off North Road through a wide, yet discreet, gateway with stone walls and old roads that lead to the 40 or so home sites.
