The end of October and into November saw 6 more property transactions come to fruition for Tea Lane Associates, including our spectacular listing on Austin Pasture Road, Chilmark.  We wrote about the property here. With some of the most breathtaking views the Vineyard has to offer, and its own private jeep track down to the pond, this magical spot sold to buyers from the West Coast (Los Angeles), who were itnroduced to the island by buyers of a previous Tea Lane listing in Chilmark.  They are planning a full rennovation project next year.  The property closed on November 17th for $7,400,000

Winter on the Vineyard can sometimes seem busier than the summer, with lots of community events to keep year round residents and weekend visitors occupied. September sees the island a-buzz with the fishing Derby, October there are Fall Festivals and of course Halloween. For November with the holidays fast approaching (Thanksgiving is next week everyone!), one local happening especially caught Tea Lanes' eyes as its a collaboration between some of our favorite people.

Hidden Cove is a private association centrally located on the Island of Martha's Vineyard, with close proximity to the airport, high school and towns of Oak Bluffs, Vineyard Haven and Edgartown.  Comprising of approximately 65 acres of land adjacent to Sengekontacket Pond, Hidden Cove was originallly developed in the 1980's by builder Peter Van Rosbeck with the purpose to build a community of homes. For more than 35 years he spent several months a year as a hands-on manager of horses, cattle, pigs, chickens and turkeys, and swapped stories with his fishermen friends in the nearby harbor village of Menemsha.

It's September (already) and there's a universal opinion on the island that, despite having the same number of weeks as any other year, this summer went faster than most! The prime July and August weeks flew by but as always we are squeezing out that extra month of September, with its bright blue skies, fluffy white clouds, spectacular sunsets, quieter roads and restaurants and of course the fishing Derby.

The beaches of Martha's Vineyard are some of the most beautiful in the world and are one of the reasons the Vineyard is a destination for many throughout the summer months for swimming, surfing, fishing, clam bakes and good old fashioned R&R.
