Come and enjoy our charming, vintage Vineyard home located at the end of a short, private, shelled lane, just one and a half blocks from calm Fuller Street Beach, and three blocks to downtown shops, restaurants and nightlife in the center of Edgartown village. Walk across Fuller Street through the garden entry of the Harbor View Hotel, and have a meal or drinks with a view of the Edgartown lighthouse and Edgartown Harbor beyond. The house is located on a large, private, 1/2 acre, landscaped lot, with a 425 sq. ft. deck accessed off of and spanning the length of the living room, with a view of Eel Pond and Nantucket Sound across the Ox Pond Meadow portion of Sheriff s Meadow Sanctuary. Walk across the lawn from the two car parking area to the porch of the house, and into the tiled entry room, with enclosed stacked washer/dryer and plenty of storage areas. Then proceed into the eat-in kitchen which is equipped with a professional Bertozzoni s/s gas range, and is ready for as simple or complicated vacation meals as you might choose. There are two bedrooms on the first floor with ceiling fans, one with a queen-sized bed and the other with two twin-sized antique spool beds. Down the hallway there is a full bathroom that has a tiled whirlpool tub/shower with a seaside lighthouse mural centered within. Rounding out the first floor is the lovely living room with brick fireplace, a spinet piano, and dining table for 8 at the other end of the room. Through a French door is the large deck for outdoor dining and relaxing, and at the other end of the living room is the entry to the sun porch with a dry bar, a day bed and two sliding glass doors to the gated flower garden, through which one accesses the enclosed outdoor shower around the corner. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one with a queen-sized painted bed, a ceiling fan and a 32" Flat Screen TV with HD Cable Service and a DVD player, and the other with two twin-sized, antique, carved, 4-poster beds. Both bedrooms have antique dressers and great views to the east across the sanctuary meadow to the waters of Nantucket Sound beyond. There is a sweet full bathroom upstairs with a claw foot tub. The house is equipped with mostly everything needed for seaside living. We provide two sets of quality cotton sheets for all of the beds, as well as cotton bath towels, and beach towels as well. A 37 inch flat screen TV with HD cable service is in the living room, as well as a Blue Ray DVD player. There is also a real stereo system, with a connection for computer/iPod/iPhone. We provide wireless and wired high speed internet, and standard landline phone service. There is a Vermont Castings s/s gas grill next to the deck to prepare a meal and enjoy it inside or on the outdoor dining furniture while enjoying the sunset views over conservation land.
