One of the original houses on Hines Point built by the Benson family in 1870. This property with 60 feet of private sandy beach was a working farm with cows in the pasture where what is now known as Weaver Lane. The Bensons also eeled ,fished, and built boats with the seasons. Current owners bought it in 1972 and spent summers enjoying the Lagoon sailing and swimming, fishing and clamming. The main house has had many updates including a new roof, insulation, and the addition of propane woodstoves when the family decided to live on the island year round. The guest cottage is quaint with unobstructed water views and ample herb gardens. There is also a newer small building used as an office and writing studio with a propane woodstove. The original barn has a new poured concrete foundation and is used as a woodworking shop below and a garage on the main level.
