Chilmark General Store is Open!

 IF IT’S OPEN THEY WILL COME…It’s a grey rainy day, and quiet on North Road toward Menemsha as well as on Middle Road toward Beetle Bung Corner, and yet there are loads of trucks and cars parked in the Chilmark Store parking lot as well as in the lot next door to Tea Lane Associates and Chilmark Tavern.

People are sitting on the porch enjoying their pizza slices in rocking chairs- lots of hugs and hellos between folks who haven’t seen each other for six months…there’s a positive feeling that we all made it through the winter and that this summer season is going to be a good one.

The pizza slices are still delicious as are the fresh salads and sandwiches…this is the time when all the “deadlines” must be met and it’s clear that we need to pick up the pace.  But this won’t interfere with lunch!
