Chilmark is opening up for Summer 2016

Last week saw the Chilmark Store wake from it's winter slumber on a beautiful summery day.  Workers trucks parked alongside Cabriolets as summer residents start to return to meet their caretakers and open up their homes. Of course the pizza special for the day was local Kale and Stinging Nettle - afterall this is Chilmark!

This week the Chilmark Tavern opened, and is serving dinner from 5:30pm Thursday through Monday, until the end of June when summer hours resume.

We must extend a huge thank you to Josh and Angela Aronie, for keeping us all fed over the winter months. Their Cook Truck, was stationed at the Homeport in Menemsha from November until May, and was a life saver to hungry up island workers, (and Real Estate Agents!) in need of fresh, healthy sustenance.  Boy, im gonna miss those rosemary lemon salty fries!  Good news is that Josh resumes his summer position as head chef at the Homeport.
