Whilst most of the island was on the school winter break Tea Lane was busy closing on properties up island.
The first one, a significant post and beam home that was built by John Early in the 1980's and that sits on a cliff top overlooking the Atlantic Ocean changed hands for $1,450,000 on the 23rd February. The new owner plans to relocate the home farther back from the cliff in the Fall of 2017. Tea Lane Associates represented both buyer and seller in this Chilmark property transaction.
The second was an antique Greek revival home on State Road in West Tisbury, which came on the market in June of 2016 and closed on March 1st for $950,000. Located just off State Road on 7 pastoral acres this 5 bedroom home has a sense of privacy and seclusion, whilst also being close the village life. Tea Lane Associates represented the seller in this one, which closed after only 208 days on the market.
Back to Chilmark now, for our third sale during this first week in March, 8 Frog Alley is a Peter Breese designed contemporary home built by Gino Mazzerferro in 1999. With 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms this substantial home on over 10 acres off Middle Road, has room to expand to include pool and guest house eventually. Tea Lane represented the sellers and after 351 days on market the property sold for $1,850,000 on March 3rd 2017.
