Vineyard Havens - offering respite to cancer patients on the Vineyard

Vineyard Havens is a non-profit near and dear to Tea Lane Associates. One of our brokers is on the board and several of our rental property owners are involved with this wonderful organization, which was created in 2018 to serve pediatric cancer patients and their families.

Founder, Jeanne DeSanto started the organization because her family knew the challenges of pediatric cancer, her own child was diagnosed with Cancer at aged 4. Recognizing the struggles that families face when they have a child in treatment, Vineyard Havens goal is to  provide families a chance to breathe, reset, reconnect and make positive memories through an all expenses paid vacation to Martha's Vineyard

Jeanne’s son is now a healthy teenager and Vineyard Havens has grown. They've served hundreds of pediatric cancer patients and have just started a new program called Island Patient Respite for Martha's Vineyard residents of all ages who are in treatment for cancer.

Vineyard Havens is offering a qualified patient a getaway for two anywhere in the United States. They will work with the recipient on a bespoke dream vacation. 

And if travelling off the Island is too much to take on, Vineyard Havens will plan a “staycation” in a vacation home on the Island that will comfortably accommodate close family and friends where everyone can be together and enjoy the island in a whole new way.
